TEAR Center (Technology Education, Advocacy & Resources)
The TEAR Center is a community-based resource dedicated to addressing Technology-Facilitated Abuse (TFA)—a growing form of harm where digital tools are misused to stalk, harass, control, or intimidate survivors. Located in Morgan City, Louisiana, the TEAR Center empowers survivors, advocates, and community partners to safely navigate technology while reducing and preventing abuse.
Through education, advocacy, and hands-on support, the TEAR Center provides digital safety training, technology misuse education, domestic violence advocacy, workshops, and access to a computer lab and training room. The Center also works closely with law enforcement, first responders, and support services to improve awareness, strengthen responses, and close gaps in community resources. By promoting digital literacy and coordinated action, the TEAR Center helps survivors reclaim safety, connection, and control in an increasingly digital world.
